SUV: JLR launches petrol powered Range Rover Sport at Rs 86.71 lakh, Auto News, ET Auto

New Delhi: Jaguar Land Rover India on Tuesday launched 2.0 litre petrol derivative of Range Rover Sport in India, priced at ₹ 86.71 lakh (ex-showroom).

Available in S, SE & HSE trim, the new derivative is powered by a 2.0 l petrol engine with a twin-scroll turbocharger, that delivers a power output of 221 kW and 400 Nm of peak torque, the company said in a release.

Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd. (JLRIL), said: “The success of the Range Rover Sport has been integral in driving demand for the Land Rover portfolio in India. The Model Year 2019 2.0 l petrol derivative should further increase the aspirational value of the flagship model at an attractive and exciting price.”

This high-performance SUV comes with features such as the sliding panoramic roof and powered tailgate. For 2019, the Range Rover Sport is also equipped with three-zone climate control, protect, control pro, park Ppack and cabin air ionisation. Additionally, it offers a contemporary interior and advanced features such as the touch pro duo infotainment system, 31.24 cm (12.3) interactive driver display and full colour head-up display.

The current Land Rover product portfolio in India includes the Discovery Sport , Range Rover Evoque, Discovery, the Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover available at starting price of Rs 44.68 lakh, Rs 52.06 lakh, Rs 52.06 lakh, Rs 72.47 lakh, Rs 86.71 lakh, and Rs 181.86 lakh respectively.
